The bite of dengue mosquito transmitted the mosquito-borne viral infection is called Dengue. Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infection. It is found in tropical and sub-tropical climates, spreading rapidly in urban poor areas, suburbs and rural areas. Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes.The virus responsible for causing dengue is called the dengue virus (DENV).

Causes and Disease Transmission:

The Female mosquito (Aedes aegypti) is the main cause of dengue which transfer one of them. It is transmitted one person to other person by the bites of dengue Mosquitos, generally obtain the virus while feeding on the blood of an infected person. The mosquitos can transmit the virus while the bite of healthy person an infected person. The person who already infected by dengue virus after bite of mosquito after the 4-5 days the symptoms will appear.

How the mosquito looks:

The mosquito is like a zebra designs, dark in color with the white pattern on its legs.

The mosquitos are not the main cause of disease, the virus infects the mosquito mid-gut and subsequently spreads to the salivary glands over an incubation period of 8-12 days, and then can transmit the disease for the rest of its life.

The time for mosquito bites are early morning and before sunset.

Incubation Period:

Symptoms begin to appear 4-10 days after the bite from an infected mosquito.

Symptoms:

High grade fever and flu-like symptoms is in infected person is causes Dengue. at least two of the following symptoms are common in dengue patients:

Fever

Severe headache.                  

General weakness.

Pain behind the eyes.

Muscle and joint pain.

Nausea.

Vomiting.

Rash.

Symptoms usually last for 2-7 days.

In severe symptoms are:

Severe abdominal pain.

Persistent vomiting.

Gums and nose bleeding.

Blood in your urine, stools or vomit.

Bleeding under the skin, which might look like bruising.

Difficult or rapid breathing.

Cold or pale skin.

Fatigue.

Diagnosis:

​We cannot recognize or diagnose the dengue fever, because the sign n symptoms can be confused with other disease such as malaria n etc.

Laboratory tests: Blood test can help the proper diagnoses or detect the dengue viruses, but test results usually help direct treatment decisions.

CBC, NAATs, Serologic test: IgM, IgG, antibodies.

Complications:

The disease may develop into severe dengue fever, causing damage to the blood vessels, fluids leaking through them, reducing the number of platelets, leading to severe bleeding and sudden hypotension or failure of one of body organs and death.

Treatment:

The treatment for dengue fever is anticipation is the most important step to be followed, and if you see or observe any changes in disease the followings are recommended:  

​Get some rest.

Fluid intake.

Take painkillers.

Avoid blood thinners such aspirin.

Avoid mosquito bites, to prevent the spread of the disease.
