Ocimum sanctum This remedy is useful in fever of intermittent type and typhoid. It is also indicated in influenza, flu and chronic inflammation of nose. It is used in tonsillitis and throat infection. It acts on the digestive system causing diarrhea and autumnal dysentery.

Head: The head feels heavy and throbbing which is worse from walking and better by cold application.

Ears: It is useful in pain in ears from nasal complaints with offensive discharge from ears.

Mouth: The lips are dry and black. It is a good remedy for mouth ulcers with bitter and putrid taste in mouth.

Stomach: There is distension of abdomen and heavy feeling with no relief from passing stools frequently.

Stool: It is indicated in diarrhea in rainy and autumnal seasons. The stools are watery, copious, offensive and full of mucous or bloody. The stool is involuntary during fever.

Urine: It is a very good remedy for bed wetting in children.

Female: It is indicated in irregular menses. It is given after delivery for lochia which is offensive, long lasting and mixed with pus and blood.
